Movie: Prometheus (2012)

Quoting:

Daughter: What happened to that man?
Father: He died.
Daughter: Why aren’t you helping them?
Father: They don’t want my help. Their god is different than ours.
Daughter: Why did he die?
Father: Sooner or later everyone does.
Daughter: Like mummy?
Father: Like mummy.
Daughter: Where do they go?
Father: Everyone has their own word. Heaven. Paradise. Whatever it’s called, it’s some place beautiful.
Daughter: How do you know it’s beautiful?
Father: Because that’s what I choose to believe

Plateau

I am hitting the fitness plateau stage. Been reading a lot to pass thru this phase and it’s either to rest or increase my activity. Tried staying home for at least 2 days (ohwell, weekend)to read books, watch movies, sleep and cook but then I couldn’t help it! I grabbed my 3 pounders and did some light lifting after 12 hours of rest. Finally told myself to continue some exercises with a different program.

So today! Woke up 30 minutes earlier, hit the gym and had 30 minutes mixed-pace running. Will visit the gym tonight for another, probably, 45 minutes run.

Work it!

Just Give Me a Reason on the Edge of Reason

Found Pink and Nate’s Just Give Me a Reason from one of the news feeds yesterday and really got hooked from their voices blending well. Btw, Nate is the vocalist of FUN who popularized Some Nights, We are Young. The song’s about emotional sides of a man and a woman on their relationship. While the woman’s having the emotional problems, the guy’s been saying it’s just fine, we are doing okay. Chorus says they can both overcome the issues.

In line with this is the book I’m reading, Edge of Reason, sequel to Bridget Jones’s Diary (which I was to put down upon reading page 56 telling of Filipinos being hysterical). But, of course, I continued. I’m just picking up thoughts from books I read. The story goes with the differences of how men and women think of relationships, of things, of opinions and views. While women are emotional, men are practical (and note that jealousy is an off thing for men). So ladies we must be good in handling our emotional aspect. Bridget, in the story, read self-help books.

Figure out that noncomunnication is a form of communication and that we cannot solve their problems. We just simply detach. Whatever those mean to me 🙂

If you hate a person, if you may not wish them well, be sure not to wish them ill.

Pink Just Give Me A Reason is the third single from the singer’s sixth studio album “The Truth About Love” featuring Fun’s Nate Ruess.

Right from the start
You were a thief you stole my heart
And I your willing victim
I let you see the parts of me
That weren’t all that pretty
And with every touch you fixed them
Now you’ve been talking in your sleep
Things you never say to me
Tell me that you’ve had enough
Of our love, our love

Just give me a reason
Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second we’re not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars
It’s been written in the scars on our hearts
We’re not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again

Im sorry I don’t understand where all of this is coming from
I thought that we were fine
Oh we had everything
Your head is running wild again
My dear we still have everything
And its all in your mind
Yeah but this is happening
You’ve been having real bad dreams
Oh oh
You used to lie so close to me
Oh oh
There’s nothing more than empty sheets
Between out love, our love, oh our love, our love

Just give me a reason
Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second we’re not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars
It’s been written in the scars on our hearts
We’re not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again

I never stopped
You’re still written in the scars on my heart
Your not broken just bent and we can learn to love again

Oh tears ducts and rust
I’ll fix it for us
We’re collecting dust but our love’s enough
You’re holding it in
You’re pouring a drink
No nothing is as bad as it seems
We’ll come clean

Just give me a reason
Just a little bit’s enough
Just a second we’re not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars
It’s been written in the scars on our hearts
We’re not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
