The good about Bananas

Psalm 94:18-19
When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your love, O LORD, supported me.
When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought joy to my soul.
Depression and anxiety are states of low mood and  aversion to activity. This may mean a loss of pleasure over an activity one has been doing. ‘When anxiety is great within me, Your ever greatest consolation brings so much joy to my soul’. Joy comes when we entrust our feelings and emotions to our Creator.  While it is the most powerful tool over this negative emotion, here’s a fact about bananas that can help us boost our emotional being.

You’ve probably heard that bananas are high in potassium, which helps to control blood pressure and may fight depression. Bananas also contain tryptophan, a mood-lifter, and, because of their three natural sugars — sucrose, glucose and fructose — give an instant boost to flagging energy levels.

In addition, bananas contain considerable amounts of vitamin B6, vitamin C, and potassium. The latter makes them of particular interest to athletes who use them to quickly replenish their electrolytes. Consumption of bananas is associated with a reduced risk of colorectal cancer and in women, breast cancer and renal cell carcinoma.
